AIL 605 - INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA PROCESSES

Work Samples

Interactive Multimedia Tutorial

In this course, I created an interactive multimedia tutorial. I have included a video and some screenshots of the tutorial on this page. The tutorial was hosted online, and it included an interactive quiz.

I designed the tutorial using the best practices for universal design and learning and made it accessible for those with disabilities. The course also taught me the importance of abiding copyright laws. One of my favorite assignments from AIL 605 was learning about creating storyboards to help outline a course before it is built, so the process is more effective and faster.

The welcome video used on the welcome screen of the tutorial is shown below:

Graphic Design Evaluation Assignment

I executed a graphic design evaluation based on the design principles included in the course curriculum. The assignment encouraged my appreciation of how media can communicate different messages depending on how it is designed. Engaging in the graphic design evaluation prompted me to learn more about the fundamental principles of graphic design. Some examples of the principles I used in the assessment included the golden ratio, color theory, and visual perception theories.
