During my AIL 601 class, I learned about the history and trends in instructional technology and issues that may arise. I also researched the societal challenges brought about by the digital divide. My study of the issues taught me that the digital divide is something I need to consider when creating online instruction. To demonstrate my knowledge on the topic, I made an e-poster that discussed the pressing matters that create and maintain a digital divide.
Some additional models that were covered in the class included:
Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE)
Backwards Design
Dick and Carey's Systems Approach
Gerlach-Ely
Kemp, Morrison, and Ross's Instructional Design Plan
Merrill's Pebble-in-the Pond
Rapid Prototyping
Successive Approximation Model (SAM)
Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)
Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT)
